In-person counselling offers a unique opportunity to slow down and meet together in shared physical space. For some people, being in the room allows for a deeper sense of presence, grounding, and connection that feels supportive to the work.
I offer in-person sessions in Nanaimo, British Columbia, for adults and couples seeking thoughtful, relational, and depth-oriented therapy.
Meeting in person can support greater attunement to emotional and bodily experience. Subtle shifts in posture, breath, and tone often become more accessible, allowing the work to unfold in a way that feels embodied and contained.
Some people choose in-person sessions because they:
Feel more grounded and focused when meeting face to face
Prefer the ritual and rhythm of coming to a physical location
Are navigating experiences that feel easier to explore in shared physical space
Want support reconnecting with their body and emotions
In-person therapy can be especially supportive during periods of transition, heightened stress, or relational change.
I work with adults and couples in Nanaimo who are seeking greater clarity, connection, and self-understanding. People often come to this work while navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, or the lingering impact of earlier experiences.
Whether you are beginning therapy for the first time or returning after previous work, sessions are paced with care and shaped collaboratively.
My in-person work is grounded in the same relational, trauma-informed approach that guides my online practice. I draw on Internal Family Systems, somatic-based, humanistic, and emotion-focused perspectives, responding to what emerges moment by moment.
